In 23 years, we’ve never been able to film an entire show for a full HD video release. We want to change that. In one month, we’ll be doing two sold out shows at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA and we want to film them. If we plan this correctly, we can do it our way with no label and have complete creative control. It’s already in motion, but we need a little bit of help. Mike’s gonna explain.
Well, its that time again (actually, it's way past that time, oops)!
Who was our biggest fan in 2014? Tell us by entering the 2014 PxPx Fan of the Year contest!
Every year the MxPx Fan Club holds a contest for the Fan of the Year. Over the years we have had many creative submissions; everything from a video of one fan changing in and out of all the MxPx shirts in his collection, to pictures of an extensive MxPx merch collection, to reminicings of a pair of fan club members who met and got married because of MxPx, to paintings of Mike, Tom and Yuri done by our talented fans. Every year it gets harder and harder to choose a winner and every year we love seeing what creative entries we'll get this time.
Well it's time to dust off your video camera, dig out your MxPx shirts or break out your artistic abilities, it's Fan of the Year time! Your submission can be of anything that showcases why YOU are the biggest MxPx fan out there! Get creative!
This year we're really excited about the prize, and think you will be too! It is a custom made Broken Bones pirate flag! Truly unique and a must have in any super fan's collection.
Submission deadline is April 12th, 2015. You can mail your entries to:

John Nissen discusses the creative process behind the iconic Pokinatcha Punk design on his blog..
As a special treat to our fans, John also granted us permission to share the early rough sketch he did that would be developed into the Pokinatcha album cover.
Twenty years ago today we released our very first studio album, Pokinatcha! Twenty years! It's hard to even grasp that! We were kids, still in high school, signed to a brand new label, no real idea what was ahead for us. We certainly had no idea that we would be around 20 years and eight studio albums later, still making music and doing what we love: touring the world and making memories with our fans and friends! Pokinatcha put us on the map and while our sound has grown and matured much since then, we can still hear the raw pop-punk MxPx sound on those 21 rough tracks.
One of the greatest enduring legacies from Pokinatcha is our beloved iconic Pokinatcha Punk logo. The Punk, designed by John Nissen has stood with us throughout all of the past 20 years, through various adaptations and reinterpretations. John designed all of the early Punk images — running, jumping, stomping, and skating. He was kind enough to come back and design this very special 20 Years of Pokinatcha logo just for the anniversary. Thank you John for 20 years of the Pokinatcha Punk!
We want to thank also Andy Husted, our original guitarist who recorded this album with us, Aaron Sprinkle for producing it, and Brandon Ebel at Tooth & Nail Records for releasing it. Of course most of all, we want to thank you, the fans for 20 years of music!

Acoustic Bundle - MXPX Acoustic Collection & Mike Herrera Acoustic Live Picture Disc:
Los Angeles, CA, July 2, 2014 - Bremerton, WA's favorite punk-rock band, MXPX, will release their first set of acoustic jams, MXPX Acoustic Collection, available on their 22nd anniversary, Sunday, July 6, 2014, through the band's label imprint, Rock City Recordings. (#mxpx22)
The album was produced by the band's lead singer and bassist, Mike Herrera, in his own Monkey Trench Studios and mastered by Descendents and All guitarist Stephen Egerton. Survival Guide's Emily Whitehurst (aka Agent M) lent her vocals on three tracks: "Tomorrow Is Another Day," "Secret Weapon" and "Buildings Tumble." This isn't the first vocal partnership for the two - Whitehurst lent her vocals on MXPX's sophomore covers album, On The Cover II, on a cover of Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven Is A Place On Earth."
The band is constantly responding to requests from its fans through their social media pages and PxPx Fan Club message boards. Mike Herrera explains, "This was a request record from our fans. We've been asked hundreds of times to release an acoustic album and we finally have complied, just in time for our 22nd anniversary milestone. Most of these I've been performing live acoustically for a while now, but I rearranged some of them specifically for this release, giving the songs a whole new perspective and feel. Although these are studio-quality performances, I really tried to keep the overall sound of the production reined in and focused on the crux of the songs. All the tracks are my favorite ones to do acoustically."
In support of the new release, fans can see some of the tracks performed live, as Mike Herrera will join the Vans Warped Tour's Acoustic Basement Stage starting on the band's 22nd anniversary July 6 in Holmdel, NJ, through July 18 in Auburn Hills, MI. (See below for a full list of dates.)

We are pleased to announce that you can now download and/or stream the MxPx documentary Both Ends Burning in digital HD from:
"Both Ends Burning" is a film that captures MxPx at a crossroads in their seasoned career. Directed by Bryan Buchelt, this documentary not only follows the band's struggles in the face of the new touring climate, it also looks at the legacy and impact that Mike, Tom, and Yuri have had on the music industry, fellow bands, and their fans. This is one of the first true looks into the life of the notoriously private working class band on the road and at home. "Both Ends Burning" will give you a sense of nostalgia, while setting the stage for the next chapter of MxPx.
