This September MXPX will be playing a three night stand at Seattle's Graceland that you'll be kicking yourself if you miss. MXPX have been working day and night on making these shows nothing short of their best...shows like no other MXPX show you've ever seen...shows for fans new and old, with the band dusting off favorites from every record they've ever recorded. Amidst the chaos they'll be playing an acoustic set each night to get us all pumped for the forthcoming acoustic ep, the AC/EP. The AC/EP will be released inside the packaging of MXPX's upcoming B Movie. Their very first DVD that goes straight to the heart of what MXPX has been doing these last few years. B MOVIE is due out sometime this fall and will include footage from all 3 shows so come on out and be part of MXPX history in the making. This will be a once in a lifetime event that you can't miss. Come prepared to get hot, sweaty and sticky. But, more than anything come prepared to ROCK and BE ROCKED!!!
As if MxPx DVD news wasn't enough... The new MxPx DVD project is also going to include a special MxPx acoustic EP as well! Yes, you heard us right! Be sure to take your heart medicine, because we have even more TASTY tidbits coming soon!

We're really excited about putting this together and we think it's going to be something really special. The expected release date is to be determined, but we can say it will be out before the end of the year... yeah before the end of THIS year!

This one is gonna blow you away!
MxPx, along with P.O.D. and other artists, has a track on the soon to be released album "The Passion of the Christ: Songs" scheduled to be in stores on August 31st. This is not a movie soundtrack, but a "songs inspired by the movie" compilation.
The song is called "The Empire" and was written specifically for this album.
It was recorded in their own studio, The Clubhouse. Check out some more info here::
Check it out everyone! One of our all time favorite MxPx songs Chick Magnet has been chosen for the new soundtrack to the crazy movie Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle!

All "good" things must come to an end... or at least come to an end...
MxPx originally signed with A&M records in 1998 in an arrangement with Tooth and Nail allowing the band to have additional opportunities not available to the independent labels. However, in the world of corporate record companies, the small "boutique" A&M records became part of Interscope Records who clearly could not embrace MxPx even though the band's continued to have a growing fan base and toured to sell out venues. After years of frustration, MxPx and Interscope
(A&M) Records have parted ways...
Mike Herrera said, "For the first time since we got signed in 1993, we are unsigned. No contracts, no obligations, no problem. The future is opened wide."
Yuri added, "Now that we've fulfilled our obligation to Interscope I look forward to a new beginning."
The band is now in the studio working on new material and weighing all of their options... Creighton Burke, the band's long time manager added, "It's not everyday a band like MxPx are "Free Agents" they have a world of options available and I am as excited about this as anything that has ever come their way. The band sells records consistently and more importantly has great fans who care and want the band to win."
In an internet "petition" that was lobbying Interscope to release "Well Adjusted" as a single Burke commented, "I was stunned... I thought, while it was moot, this thing carried thousands of signatures all asking Interscope to release the single we thought should launch the band's last record, "Before, Everything and After." The song was part of a soft drink campaign that first aired during the Super Bowl.
Mike continued, "Anything can happen from here. We're really excited about what the future holds. We feel like schoolboys on the first day of summer."
Hey PXers... make sure you check out the tour section... we've recently added four more confirmed dates to the list to make it a total of six shows... these are sure to be great ones, so don't miss 'em!
